Trip Overview

Pisang Peak is the most popular Trekking Peak in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It offers good scope for exploration, which is guarded by a hanging glacier and offers considerable challenge. The west ridge is guarded by huge rock slabs, which make it difficult to climb. A German Expedition made the first ascent of Pisang Peak in 1955. A German Expedition made the first ascent of Pisang Peak in 1955 and since then it has been something of considerable remark. Trekkers with little experience in climbing can combine the popular classic Annapurna circuit trek with Pisang Peak climbing to have the taste of climbing in Himalayas in Nepal. The peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid. Pisang peak is considered one of the technical climbing peaks among of the climbing peaks in Nepal.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel and welcome dinner in the evening
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu and preparation for the expedition in the evening
Day 03: By Bus: Kathmandu to Bhulbhule. Trek to Ngadi (1,011m)
Day 04: Ngadi to Jagat (1,314m)
Day 05: Jagat to Dharapani (1,950m)
Day 06: Dharapani to Chame (2,630m)
Day 07: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,700m)
Day 08: Acclimatization at Upper Pisang
Day 09: Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380m)
Day 10: Base camp to High Camp (5,400m)
Day 11: Summit to the Pisang Peak (6,091m) and back to Base Camp
Day 12: Base Camp to Manang Valley (3,450m)
Day 13: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m)
Day 14: Yak Kharka to Thorong Pedi (4,600m)
Day 15: Thorogn Phedi to Thorong la (5,416m). Trek to Muktinath (3,798m)
Day 16: Muktinath to Jomsom (2,750m)
Day 17: By Plane: Jomsom to Pokhara (820m).
Day 18: By Plane: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350m)
Day 19: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 20: Departure

Cost Included

  • Completely lodges trek (during trekking period) and camping trek during (peak climbing period) which includes Breakfast, Lunch, dinner and room during the whole trekking periods.
  • Pisang peak climbing permit.
  • Annapurna conversion area project area’s entrance fee (ACAP)

  • Tips (usually people can keep US $2/day in total for tips and donation which is good amount)
  • In case of natural calamities i.e. political unrest, cancellation of flight due to weather, landslides etc the extra charge should be born by themselves.
